These first 8 posts are the beginning of the "Longest Thread Ever"

Also Known As: The Theme Park Thread

I saved them because I had a feeling that the thread was going to turn into something incredible and it did. Notice how the whole thing started with a message posted by a new comer that was probably just trying to figure out how to post a message.

Unfortunately I did not save quite a few messages that scrolled off the board in between the first 8 and the next 158. Nor did I have the opportunity the see any of messages beyond number 158 before the problems started and they were all deleted.

Thanks to Chris Mueller, we also have messages 159 thru 170, as he too saved a copy of the thread before logging off.

Final count was 243 messages before DellTalk couldn't handle it anymore and Brian (Dell Tech) had to delete all of the messages one at a time.

You can read the Aftermath in this thread.

You can read about the complaints received (there were only two), how they were handled, and more of the Aftermath, in this thread.

A great time was had by all while it lastest as you will see when you read this thread :o)

The Bitter End

At this point I saved the thread. A couple of hours later I checked it one last time, there were no new messages, and I went to bed. The following evening, when I logged onto DellTalk, the entire thread was gone.

Sometime during the night, after 11pm Central time, 85 more messages were posted and DellTalk began to have some problems. The rest, as they say, is History.

Following are 12 more messages- Courtesy of Chris Mueller, who had the foresight to save the thread before he logged off of DellTalk. Following are 12 more messages- Courtesy of Chris Mueller, who had the foresight to save the thread before he logged off of DellTalk.
